STORY OF THIS JUVENILE BALD EAGLE
There's a particular grace in not being fully formed and refusing to apologize for it. She's a juvenile bald eagle, about two years old, perched in the mist on a weathered stump in Anchor Point, Alaska. Her body is still mottled brown, but sparse white feathers are coming in around her face. Bald eagles don't earn their full white head and tail until their fifth year. Until then, they're often written off as something lesser or mistaken for a golden eagle. She's none of that. She's exactly on schedule. Becoming. She is the embodiment of patience worn like a crown — the in-between years rendered as dignity, not waiting. For anyone who's been told they're too inexperienced or not ready yet, she's the argument that your becoming is already enough.
ROOM SUGGESTION
An office, study, or a young woman’s room — anywhere a reminder that becoming is not the same as falling short would do its quiet work.
FINISHES & SIZING
This piece comes in three curated sizes and three museum-quality finishes. Metal is my signature recommendation — it holds the depth, light, and dimensional clarity of the original encounter. Acrylic pushes further into luminous, high-impact territory for a true statement piece. And pearl finish photo paper adds a soft, pearlescent shimmer unique among archival papers — beautiful framed under glass.
